Thanks to everyone who made it out to FRICTION last night to celebrate The Big Sleep’s record release. Also thanks to all who helped make the show happen and The Big Sleep, Sian Alice Group, Priestbird, Heavy Creatures, and DJ Chris Alker for being part of the night. The Big Sleep were brilliant (and loud) as always, while Sian Alice Group topped their Philly show with a more fleshed out sound. Priestbird rocked off our faces and Heavy Creatures were a perfect act to start a night that was filled with haunting vocals and quiet energy. Our regular photographer was on vacation so Nghia took over for the night. His “raw as f*ck” pics are below and will be uploaded to our Flickr site shortly.
FRICTION is back at the Mercury Lounge on March 26th with Crystal Castles, HEALTH, Team Robespierre, and Apache Beat.
