WHITE WILLIAMS

WHITE WILLIAMS provides brilliantly catchy tunes with a surprisingly mellow temperament. Relying heavily on synthesizers and Williams’ airy vocals you’ll rarely hear the drum machine let loose a bass beat to bolster the happy toe-tapping rhythms.” [Spin]

TELEPATHE

TELEPATHE is a fluid band that ebbs and flows through genres of music all the while creating their own brand of dancey mysteriousness. Led by Busy Ganges and Melissa Lavaudais the group takes their eerie textural music and interweaves this with a rhythmic pattern that pulls you into their sound tapestry.” [Forced Exposure]

[MP3]: Telepathe  ”I Can’t Stand It”

HEARTS OF DARKNESSES

HEARTS OF DARKNESSES epileptic beats are pure placenta future pudding topped off with rancid whipped cream processed aggro vocals and guitar that will touch the Chrome/Renaldo and the Loaf fan in you. This is downloadable shareware punk rock at its finest. Frankie Musarra, AKA Hearts of Darknesses, is one part composer, five parts spaz and a dope emcee to boot. Musarra once became so entangled in his mic cord during a performance that he fell and broke his collarbone. Nasty.” [Boomkat]

[MP3]: Hearts Of Darknesses  ”Fuzz Ones”

“The TROUBLE & BASS crew has been breaking down boundaries between electronic genres for quite awhile. Their core roster includes ringmaster Drop the Lime (DTL), as well as mathhead, Zack Shadetek & Star Eyes. They’ve all been known to mash grime with break-core, and electro with jungle. Their only goal is maximum BASS. The crew has been involved with some of the craziest regular parties in Brooklyn, from Bangers & Mash to Mad Suspect, and their new monthly Trouble & Bass party.” [Brooklyn Vegan]

[MP3]: DTL  ”Synthesis Magazine DJ Mix”
