FRICTION Recap | 9.30.07

THE TWILIGHT SAD

THE BIG SLEEP

OTHER PASSENGERS

Thanks to everyone who made it out on Sunday night to our second 2-Year Anniversary celebration at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (promise, that’s the last mention of the 2-year thing…I’m even sick of saying it at this point). Although it’s not completly finished, the Music Hall space is absolutely gorgeous, designed pretty much like the Bowery Ballroom, and they even kept a modified version of Northsix’s bleachers up on the balcony. Definitely a great place to see a show in Brooklyn or Manhattan.

A big thank you to The Twilight Sad, The Big Sleep, and Other Passengers for tearing it up on stage. My eardrums are still recovering today. Also thanks to David Bruno for keeping people hype between sets and for playing Television’s “Friction,” which the party is named after.

Photographer Pat has been slacking with uploading his pictures to Flickr, but be sure to check our page soon. They will be up there at some point, I hope (kidding Pat, I know you’re a busy dude).

FRICTION is back on Halloween (the actual Halloween night, October 31st) for White Williams’ Record Release party at The Annex. Also on the bill are CU faves Telepathe and The Trouble and Bass crew will be dropping beats all night long. Costume or not, come out and get hype!
