Your new favorite band The Blacks will be invading NYC via San Francisco next week. What more can be said about a band that shares the last name Black; vocals and guitar Luisa Black, drums Gavin Black (who actually lives in NYC) and hype man/tambourine player JDK Black. Their bio says “The Blacks serve up a hot, electric, garage noir sound that mixes the rawness of The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Stooges with the vocal elegance of Romeo Void”. For me they invite comparisons to a certain brother/sister White duo and locals YYYs!
