June 28th
Studio B
[flyer]
THIS is a shoegazer’s dream of a lineup - expect shimmering guitars and waves of distortion and feedback as vocals and melodies get swallowed up by glorious walls of sound.
The Father of Giant Stereo Guitar Sound, Robin Guthrie, will be playing a one-time only set backed by Astrobrite’s Odell Nail’s and Mahogany’s Andrew Prinz. Supporting Guthrie will be Brooklyn dreamgazers Mahogany along with NYC shoegazers Soundpool, and Peru’s Resplandor.
The Peruvian duo doesn’t make it to the states very often - so this will be your one shot to catch them live. I’ve heard incredible things about their live show. Plus, you already know how much we love FRICTION alums Mahogany (who will have Guthrie guesting on guitar during their set) and Soundpool makes some of the best shoegaze in NYC. Top that off with the co-founder of the Cocteau Twins and you have yourself one stellar show.
In between sets, DJ Ryan Skyward and DJ Andy Durutti will be spinning classic faves with new rave flair. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door, BUT if you RSVP to automaticrsvp@gmail.com by June 26th, you can get in for just $10.
Check out the video for Resplandor’s “Suenos De Un Ave” below and sign up for the RSVP!
