Sirius Blog Radio 5.7.07

sirius_blog_radio.JPG

I had the opportunity to be a guest on Sirius’ “Blog Radio” last night hosted by Jason of Productshop NYC. “Blog Radio” airs every weeknight at 10 pm ET on the Left Of Center channel (Channel 26) “giving you the latest on the indie-rock scene.”

I put together a playlist of 20 songs and we got around to playing 12 of them, talked about music as well as this blog and FRICTION (which is this Saturday). I listed the songs that I picked and were played during the show below, most of them have appeared on this site at one time or another. I concentrated mostly on the music that I’ve been listening to this year, which happens to be a lot of electronic stuff. In addition, I also threw in a couple of older gems that I couldn’t go without playing.

Luckily, Nghia got home in time to stream and record the show and ripped the file down to mp3 format. I know some of you other guys from CU were interested in hearing it too, so the entire show, which aired last night can be streamed and/or downloaded below. I haven’t heard it yet, so I’m not sure if I have the best radio voice in the world and I’m sure there are tons of “ummm’s and so’s.” Jason, however seems to have his radio voice down pat.

You did a good job, not too many umms and so’s, but you did use the phrase, “dig it or diggin it,” Ooops!

You sounded great last night. You did sound a little nervous at first, but then everything flowed nicely. Congrats.

Yes, good job little monkey. You sounded like you, whatever that means, and it was good to hear your voice from Spain. Did this have any impact on hits? Not that it matters, just curious…
