Explosions in the Sky

It’s been Explosions in the Sky overload all week for me. Monday’s show at Warsaw was kind of a let down because of the huge venue and lack of crowd enthusiasm. Maybe it was because my fellow Texans played four new songs from their new album All of A Sudden I Miss Everyone that was just released Tuesday. I’m guessing the crowd didn’t know the new stuff. Tuesday’s intimate 1-hour set at the Society for Ethical Culture was simply amazing. Perfect acoustics. Then I rushed home to watch their first ever national TV appearance on Conan O’Brien. A tight truncated version of “Welcome, Ghosts” was played.

wow. that venue looks amazing. thrust/proscenium stage is sooo wide. doesn’t look like there’s a bad seat in the house. great pics too.
