Back to the Banks | 08.19.06

We already told you the success story of the skate spot called the Brooklyn Banks. This Saturday, Back to the Banks will take place for the second year. The event has been made possible with the hard work and efforts of Steve Rodriguez, owner of 5boro skateboards along with the support of Emerica, Red Bull, Volcom, Spitfire and Skateboarder magazine.

Come out and support your local skate rat and check out this legendary street spot. Bring your camera cause there’s bound to be some sick skating and nasty spills. Peep some footy from last year’s event to get you hype.

What: 3 Contests: ledges , rail/stairs, and banks/wallride. And a few thousand dollars worth of prizes.
Where: Manhattan Side of the Brooklyn Bridge, right under the eastbound ramp to Brooklyn. J, M, Z, 4, 5 or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall
