Posted: August 1st, 2006 | Author: clacka | Filed under: crackerCAM, events, music | 2 Comments »crackerCAM was on location at the mccarren pool, bk for the 4th concert in the pool parties series. hundreds then, by late afternoon, thousands of hipsters still hungover from bloc party (and maybe misshapes) ventured back to the pool to satiate their weekend indie music fix. at the mic were asobi seksu, irving, enon, and of montreal. as entertaining as each band was, my attention was often drawn to the dodgeball tournament the sidelines. i’ve seen countless concerts, but a primal battle with large rubber balls? scratch those water taxi beach plans… and hit the pool.

great pics. i love that one with of montreal and the crowd in the background. so that’s what it’s like to be a rock star in front of thousands a people?!
Was it just me or did the sound start to suck as soon as Of Montreal hit the stage? They were amazing regardless but what was with that?
I feel like Asobi Seksu should not have played first! It’s a shame that a lot of people didn’t hear that set. It was wonderful.
