The Big Sleep are a trio that plays driving psych-rock that sounds similar to the forever-underrated Turing Machine, or Trans Am back when they were good. This band is extremely tight on the rhythms, creating walls of stunning guitar sound backed by precise percussion. Their songs definitely get a groove going, and you can almost hear each member’s pure delight at how well they can rock it with each other.” [OhMyRockness]

“Anyone who has a soft spot (possibly hidden under a cardigan) for Orange Juice or The Fieldmice will be charmed by Levy’s C86-like, lo-fi pop sweetness and everybody else will just lover their catchy-but-nasty combination of gorgeous tunes and bitter lyrics. Tasty” [XFM]

Levy – On the Dancefloor (mp3)

“Yeah, Unsacred Hearts rock. They will have you up all night lamenting to your whiskey-soaked soul your hearts desires. That is what sets this NYC band apart. That word, soul. As much as they channel The Clash and GBV, there is also an underlying Dylan and some gut-wrenching blues fighting to get out.” [Your Standard Life]
